Author Sam Thomas will be at the Henderson Library for a meet & greet and book signing.

He is from the Shaker Heights area and teaches history at University School near Cleveland, Ohio.

Sam Thomas is the author of The Midwife Mysteries series, set during the English Revolution of the 1640s.

Bridget Hodgson is the heroine midwife, based on an historical figure by the same name. Join her and her deputy midwife, Martha as they solve murderous mysteries and deliver the babes of the era.

Adult Arts & Crafts Show

The Henderson Library is now accepting entries for their second annual Adult Arts & Crafts Show coming in August, open to ages 18 and older,

There will a juried show and a silent auction event. Participants may enter (1) piece into the juried show, but may also donate pieces to the auction event. All proceeds from the auction will go to the support of the Henderson Library programming.

Henderson Library hosts ALFC documentary film series

This summer the Henderson Library will play host site for the Ashtabula Local Food Council's  Local Food Summer Film Series.

The films are an excellent way to learn about Local Food and the various issues that our own growers and communities face.

A series of four film documentaries, each film will begin at 1:30 PM on Sunday afternoons at the library. All documentaries are free to the public and there will be a brief open discussion following each film.

The first film documentary is FRESH and it will be showing at 1:30 PM this Sunday, May 31st.

Racing in the Rain in May @ Henderson Library

Henderson Library races in the rain in May with Garth Stein's The Art of Racing in the Rain.

During the month of May our goal is to get as much of the Jefferson Community reading the SAME book and in 2015 that book is The Art of Racing in the Rain.  Read the book in May and join us in June for a community book party and a chance to win one of two signed copies from Garth Stein: (1) The Art of Racing in the Rain and (2) Garth's latest book, A Sudden Light.
